If you're trail'n through western Nebraska, stop in and visit with me, Nicole. You can usually find me behind all the saddles, tack and rolls of leather.
My own wild and western trail through Nebraska; is what led me to be right here in my shop, carvin out a spot as a Maker. Before I set out to earn a livin as a leather maker, I met my husband and we trailed our way through western Nebraska, making a living horse and mule back.
Working mainly cattle, but also bison, tending to pasture, water and fence has forever altered my heart and mind to prioritize and protect our western culture and way of life.
Long days preparing horses and mules for the saddle and persevering until I had a trustworthy animal under saddle; taught me patience, kindness and the importance of well made, well fitted saddles and tack.
Once determined I was fortunate enough to run in with great saddle and leather makers that have helped expand my understanding of leather work.
I have been working ever since, to advance and adapt my own artistic style with traditional ways of crafting leather to make high quality tack and now saddles that will last generations. My past experience working horseback has given me the understanding to provide a service to the folks I admire, the folks out there in the saddle making a living.
